AKQA

The large-network option for a flagship brand and digital experience, not the default choice for a focused product redesign.

7.6

Fit for this rating

Best for: global brands connecting a Gulf launch, campaign, service, and digital product

Not the right fit for: small product teams that need a compact daily working group and transparent scope

AKQA has UAE presence and product capability inside a global experience network. It can be suitable when the brief is genuinely integrated, while focused software work may pay for more organisational breadth than it needs.

Five dimension scores

UAE and Gulf delivery evidence8.5UAE studio presence and regional brand work, with limited public delivery detail for specific products.
Product and service design depth8.0Substantial digital and product capability sits within a wider experience practice.
Enterprise and regulated-sector capability8.0The network is built for global organisations and complex programmes.
Research, testing, and localization6.5Public Gulf research and bilingual-testing evidence is difficult to trace.
Shipped-product evidence and source quality7.0Company scale is well documented, but exact regional product cases are less accessible.

When the network makes sense

AKQA belongs on a Dubai shortlist when digital product is tied to brand, campaign, commerce, and several markets. A global client can use the network to coordinate disciplines that would otherwise sit with several suppliers.

A focused product brief needs a harder test. Ask which studio owns the work, which people stay through delivery, and what recent UAE product they can demonstrate beyond a launch campaign. The answer should show flows, states, research, and post-release responsibility.

Why the score is lower

The company has strong general capability, but this rating rewards traceable regional product evidence. The public sources do not expose enough recent Dubai research and shipped-product detail to score it near the local specialists.

Rating history

Initial Dubai rating. Enterprise scale and UAE presence are clear; source depth for recent regional product work is the limiting factor.
